Door opens on two hot new BWF QT Reports - in BMN and TTJ from November
Following recent changes to building regulations, Fire Doors are becoming an increasingly important opportunity for both manufacturers and merchants. The British Woodworking Federation’s BWF-CERTIFIRE Fire Door & Doorset Scheme is sponsoring two new series of Quarterly Trends Reports on Fire Doors.
The Fire Door Merchants’ Report covers trends in builders’ and timber merchants’ sales of Fire Doors, with the first report published in November’s issue of Builders’ Merchant News.
The Fire Door Manufacturers’ Report covers manufacturers’ sales of Fire Doors, and will be published in the Timber Trade Journal every quarter from November.
Forecasts of sales activity, prospects for the market, pricing trends and stock movements are included in both reports.
The new Fire Doors surveys add to the successful Quarterly Trends series, keeping a finger on the pulse by monitoring news and expectations of the market.
“This is the first time anyone has spoken to merchants and Fire Door manufacturers about this important market on a regular basis,” comments Richard Lambert, Director of the BWF. “From November, anyone involved in the Fire Door industry can take advantage of accurate and up-to-date information on the market.
“The report will also promote the BWF-CERTFIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset Scheme. The scheme provides comprehensive third party certification of Fire Door assemblies, and encourages proper installation.”
