Fabricator Performance Improved by the Power of Partnership
Newview Trade Frames of Hereford, keen to improve their factory performance, invested in new machinery from GTI Kombimatec. A key objective was to grow without jeopardising service to existing customers.
However, Mark Powell, Managing Director of Newview, felt that more could be achieved from the investment, and asked David Amos of Michael Rigby Associates to support and assist Newview Trade Frames to realise their objective.
David Parsons of GTI Kombimatec comments “As a strong advocate of ‘partner’ relationships with our customers, it is important that GTI Kombimatec provides all the guidance our partners need to get the most out of their investment in Kombimatec machinery. Sometimes it is useful to get an external perspective and David Amos has always been a reliable source. His expertise in assessing the whole manufacturing process from placement of order to despatch has helped many of our customers increase productivity and profits.”
David Amos, Mark Powell and David Parsons worked as a team to undertake a comprehensive review of the manufacturing process. Under David Amos’ guidance the team put into place an action plan to provide Newview with the improvement they were seeking.
Mark Powell comments, “We have seen a definite improvement. I am much more confident in the service that we can offer. We can now fulfil our capabilities by looking for new business”.
David Amos explains, “The potential to improve the performance of fabricators is endless. It is rare, when working with a fabricator with an appetite for improvement, that an enhancement to factory performance cannot be achieved. This is an excellent example of a team working together to help customers achieve the very best from their investment.”
