Feet First For Charity
| Michael Rigby Associates recently sponsored two locals, Joyce Pinch - art teacher at Katherine Lady Berkeley School in Gloucestershire and Celia Rollo, in a charity trek through the Himalayan Mountains. The challenge was to walk for six to eight hours a day at high altitude. In total Joyce and Celia trekked over 120 miles to a height of 16,000 feet over seven days, raising £7,000 for Sense, the charity for the deafblind. “The people were charming and our fellow trekkers supportive and fun,” said Joyce. “We had a few hitches but we never lost sight of our goal.” |
